These works are printed in large format on canvas and then stretched on wooden frames for hanging. Claudia taught photography at the NH Institute of Art from 2004 to 2016. and is a board member of the the NH Art Association and the NH Society of Photographic Artists. When Claudia is not engaged in photographic pursuits you can find her at the Republic of Campo in downtown Manchester, the farm to table cafe that she owns and operates with her husband.

“Searching for the meaning beyond the conventional, traditional appreciation of botanical objects in our lives I have pursued the beauty that remains in these specimens as they age. The altered physical forms that emerge as the flowers and seed heads wane are engaging, unexpected and offer dynamic evolution of the original form. Pairing these objects with handmade paper substrates creates a perfect canvas for the images in this collection. It is the synthesis of paper and botanical elements creating movement and vitality unseen in the individual components that drives my continued experimentation with this project.”

Claudia’s work was featured in ‘All Together Now,’ on view February 11-26, 2023 and ‘The Locals,’ on view September 10-October 9, 2022.
