Half Full (b. 1984, Evanston, Illinois) is an artist and educator living in Portland, ME. His current body of work focuses on nostalgia, while acknowledging the imperfections of memory. His painting process celebrates inefficiency and slowness in a fast paced world. He views his visual arrangements as landscapes consisting of recurring symbols and characters. The everyday objects, products and plants create a safe space, while reflecting the contradictions and humor of contemporary life.
Half Full’s work was featured in ‘Collections‘ on view September 14-29, 2024.
