Ian Childs

Ian Childs (b. 1993) is a painter who focuses on the middle ground between reality and abstraction. He graduated from New Hampshire Institute of Art in 2016. In 2017, he enlisted in the US Navy as a Machinist Mate and was stationed in Norfolk Virginia onboard various ships. His recent work has been exhibited in Virginia, New Jersey, and New Hampshire. Ian is currently stationed and creates work out of Groton, Connecticut.

Ian’s work was featured in ‘All Together Now,’ on view February 11-26, 2023.

“Currently being a small boat mechanic I spend a lot of time in a garage where I am able to look for the abstraction in an industrial working environment.”
