Julie Marie Hoey
Julie Marie Hoey (b. 1961, Hudson, NH) is an award-winning artist and poet. Her paintings and visual work along with her poetry has been exhibited nationally and live in collections worldwide. She likes to say she is an artist, writer, teacher – poet and believer. When painting and writing Julie Marie feels possibility. She listens to the paint and rhythm of the words. She lets her brush or pen guide her. Julie Marie looks for the heart of the matter that she isn’t always aware of until in the act of creating. Her mind begins the journey. Her soul, brush and pen complete it. Julie Marie loves belly laughs, storytelling, vibrant colors, gardening, her cat Jasper Johns, good grammar, interesting words, reading, fixing things, exercising and yoga. She is certain her greatest is amusing others—unintentionally.
