William Whitman

William Whitman (b. 1958, Boscawen, NH) comes from an artistic family and became interested in photography at an early age but didn’t get involved until my late teens when he moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he became involved in a group called Ladrones De la Luz [Thieves of Light].

William attended the New Hampshire Institute of Art in the 1990’s where he received a certificate in photography. William’s work consists manly images he calls found abstracts and collages. He enjoys shooting things that most people wouldn’t look at twice and trying to make them art.

William’s work was featured in ‘Group Effort,’ on view August 10-September 1, 2024.
