Michelle Dreselly

Michelle Dreselly (b. 1969, Farmington, NH) is an emerging fine artist living in New Hampshire where she has her home-based studio overlooking beautiful Baxter Lake. Michelle resigned from her position as a CFO in 2023 to embark on an artistic journey that had been calling to her for years. Always being drawn to the arts, Michelle studied fashion design at Marist College in New York and The Academy of Art College in San Francisco and received a minor in Fine Arts from SJSU. Although initially life took her in a different direction, she always knew she would eventually find her way back to creating. She has kept her toes in the art world throughout the years taking classes at The NH Art Institute and Sanctuary Arts. She spent time when her children were young painting full wall murals and had a home-based business making retro inspired handbags and aprons. Most recently Michelle expanded her studies through the Mastery of Fine Arts Program at Milan Art Institute where she further explored her love for mixed media and oil painting.

Through her art, Michelle looks to inspire and uplift. She says, “My work focuses on wonder, joy, hope, connection, self-care and the beauty of the natural world. My wish is that in viewing my work others will feel a connection to both the work and themselves, providing introspection and a conversation. By allowing myself to be seen and heard through my work, I hope others will be encouraged to be seen and heard as well.”

Michelle resides with her husband and their 80-pound hound dog Bo. She enjoys summers on the lake swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking or out on their boat. She is an avid reader, loves to travel to warm places, spend time with her two adult sons, and lives and breathes life through her yoga practice. Michelle’s studio is open year-round by appointment.

Michelle’s work was featured in ‘Group Effort,’ on view August 10-September 1, 2024.

“This mixed media piece on 100% cotton rag archival paper is finished in oil paints. Created with bright colors, rich texture and surreal elements, “Sweet Indulgence” invites you to savor the sweetness of life’s simple pleasures.”
