A. Elaine Skipper

A. Elaine Skipper (b. 2003, Barrington, NH) is a documentary photographer going into her senior year at the Institute of Art and Design at New England College, where she plans to get her BFA in photography. She typically produces work in series and uses them to create photobooks. Her work primarily focuses on grief and absence, as well friend and familial relationships, and what makes a “home.” She aims to capture fleeting moments and find beauty in the mundane, as to create a narrative which viewers can relate to in one way or another.

A. Elaine’s work was featured in ‘Group Effort,’ on view August 10-September 1, 2024.

“This piece talks about loss, the feeling of yearning and defeat after spending so much time searching for a home you can never go back to.”
