Andrea Ros
Andrea Ros (b. 1951, Manhattan, NY) comes from a long line of artists and musicians, 7 generations to be exact. Originally a tapestry weaver, Andrea següed into printmaking and painting in order to work with Adam Grosowsky. She is also a volunteer carver at the Albany Historical Carousel, Oregon, a marionette and mask maker. Having recently relocated from Oregon to Manchester, NH, breaking into a new art scene is a delight. Her work is exhibited and collected internationally, and when her arm is twisted she can be coerced into teaching a class or two of marionette building.
Andrea’s work was featured in ‘Presently‘ on view December 14-22, 2024.
“After I painted it, I ate it; (not the first time this has happened).”
Andrea’s work was featured in ‘Group Effort,’ on view August 10-September 1, 2024.
“The Majiltons, circa 1870’s, were musicians, comical dancers and contortionists.”
Andrea’s work was featured in ‘Critical Mass,’ on view August 12-27, 2023.
“Nalgèse, my delightful friend and model, who stood like this for two days as I painted her in Tuscany.”
