Carla Giordano

Carla Giordano (b. 1985, MA) is a mixed media and miniature artist living in NH. In her free time Carla enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband, 2 sons and 2 pugs. Carla has taught art in various capacities from ages 3-80. She is very excited to return to teaching elementary school art this fall.

Carla’s work is featured in ‘Infinite Realms,’ on view September 9-October 1, 2023.

“For the past 20 years, I have been exploring themes revolving around femininity, motherhood, “home” and the expectations put on us as women. My work has always included mixed media and the imagery of home, and usually a vintage aeshetic- as a nod to the 50’s housewife cliché. I do not intend to judge these stereotypes, rather to bring attention to them and ask people to consider them. Most recently, I have been using the medium of miniature assemblages to explore these themes. I hope you enjoy them visually and think, at least briefly, about the story behind these little scenes.”
