David Kasprzak (b. 1973) is an emerging artist who discovered his passion for art later in life. Embarking on his artistic journey North of the age of 50, he quickly discovered a passion for drawing and all things artistic. He quickly acquired a fundamental skillset and has been continuosuly evolving his use of charcoal, graphite and chalk pastels. His work with these media is based on the artists’s concepts of values and tone, where subtle gradations from darkness to light can create form, movement, depth and perspective regardless of color or hue. This approach serves him not only as his artistic basis, but also as a metaphor for observing and digesting the world around him.
David’s work was featured in ‘Group Effort,’ on view August 10-September 1, 2024.
“I discovered this tree in late May, guarding the bend in a path near the Odiorne Point trailhead in Rye, NH. It seemed to be both protecting and inviting at the same time, and I knew I had to render it.”
