Digital Toni (b. 1995, Lebanon, NH) has been living in New England for 4 years now. In that time they have taught themselves to screen-print and paint in their basement and have built community through making art and sharing their knowledge on the medium. Their passion is to teach what they know and love because it has helped them so much. They are excited to branch out and be a part of the Manchester art community.
Digital Toni’s work was featured in ‘Threads,’ on view July 13-28, 2024.
“I can never stick to one specific craft for long— fashion is the vehicle that helps bind and sew together all my interests in one. Using many different types of mediums, I attempt to evoke an immediate emotion or reaction with my art, like one would feel seeing it temporarily walk on the runway.
It began when I learned how to hand sew when I was 9 years old. As a teenager I fell in love with prop making, costumes and theatrical design. Thinking of cheap nonconventional materials to help bring the ideas in my head to life.
My art has changed through the years while I have changed and grown as a person. I cannot foresee my future aesthetics, but I’m sure it will be different in years to come—fluid like the fabric I use. Always changing, like us.”
Digital Toni’s work was featured in ‘Critical Mass,’ on view August 12-27, 2023.
“My husband is my inspiration, his second love is time.”
