Emily Pierce Edwards

Emily Pierce Edwards (b. 1981, Falmouth, MA) spends her days as a cat mom, middle school art teacher, and junior varsity girls soccer coach in Manchester, NH. At night she’s a paint obsessed, mixed media artist who dabbles in paint pours, spray paint and collage. Her current work is focused around the joy she has with her media and creating abstract otherworldly type landscapes. She is inspired by insects, especially butterflies, koi fish and flowers. Growing up on Cape Cod instilled in her a deep love of her surroundings, which influences her art. She uses a variety of collage papers, as well as marbleized papers made by her father, paint pours, and drawings.

Emily’s work was featured in ‘Critical Mass,’ on view August 12-27, 2023.

“These pieces explore the theme of fantasy or alien landscapes through paint pours, spray paint and collage papers.”
