Gannon McCarthy

Gannon McCarthy (b. 1983) was raised in Portsmouth and he left for the first time at 17 to attend NYU. Since then it has been a crisscross of travel and dwelling in many cities in the US and internationally. Driven and full of seemingly bottomless energy to produce, he is constantly making work.

He received formal art training at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC, Canada where he finished with a BFA in 2019 but has been an artist since birth.

Gannon’s work was featured in ‘Glad You Asked,’ on view March 11-26, 2023.

“This work is an amalgamation of found ephemera collected in Montreal, QC.”
