Hannah Rust

Hannah Rust (b. 1998) is a painter from Massachusetts and a student at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her work often examines spaces in contemporary America where alienation and spiritual solace coexist. Within her paintings and drawings of highways, cul-de-sacs and parking lots, larger biomorphic forms and symbols materialize, exposing the implicit mysticism of these moments. Her paintings and drawings hold a playfulness and vibrancy while ultimately serving to interrogate our collective sources of salvation and wonder in dispirited times.

Hannah’s work was featured in ‘All Together Now,’ on view February 11-26, 2023.
