Izzy DelOrfano (b. 2001, New Haven, CT) is a graphic artist based in Manchester, NH. As a young adult in a post-capitalist world, they have always been fascinated by the cyclical nature of life and death, ignorance and bliss, and the ever-growing speed with which we scramble towards the end of our lives in an effort to achieve the unattainable final goal of “true success.” They hope that their work communicates that there is comedy to be found in tragedy, vibrancy to be found in decay, and that the kids are going to be all right. This current body of work reflects the frantic nature they have found themselves and most of their peers exhibiting, scrambling towards a sense of security that cannot be found under the current circumstances.
Izzy’s work was featured in ‘Critical Mass,’ on view August 12-27, 2023.
“ZOMBOCTOPOCALYPSE explores the complicated sensation of being a young adult who feels as though your death has already been planned for you, despite life barely having began.”
