Jren Blackwell

Jren Blackwell (b. 1997) is a queer artist and designer based in Boston, MA. Their acrylic work is inspired by nature, mythology, bright colors, and raw emotion. Uninspired by the monotony of easily marketable New England fine art, Jren combines fine art and craft, 2D and 3D to create mixed-media works that literally leap off the page. When not creating, you can find Jren budgeting for concert tickets, shopping for Squishmallows, or showing off their extensive collection of enamel pins.

Jren’s work was featured in ‘Glad You Asked,’ on view March 11-26, 2023.
