Karen Desrosiers (b. 1963, Hampton, NH) is a visual artist, writer, and teacher living in the seacoast area of New Hampshire. Her art work tends to feature rich color and texture. Much of her work is based on Ireland and other Celtic countries. She attempts to capture a sense of the place, the culture and people who might live there through her landscapes, which are based on her own photographs from time spent there. Her style is unique and distinctive.
Karen’s work was featured in ‘Group Effort,’ on view August 10-September 1, 2024.
“This painting is based on a wall in Killarney, Ireland, where life finds a way to thrive, even in barren or harsh conditions.”
