Kim Largey’s (b. 1978) work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications throughout the United States. Recent group exhibitions include Gallery 263 (Cambridge, MA ), Trestle Gallery (Brooklyn, NY), and The Museum of Contemporary Art (Tucson, AZ). Residencies include Hewnoaks Artist Colony (Center Lovell, ME) and The Vermont Studio Center (Johnson, VT). In December of 2014 Kim was a featured artist on the influential blog The Jealous Curator, and in 2013 she was awarded a Phoenix Art Museum & Contemporary Forum Grant for Emerging Artists. She lives and works in Biddeford, Maine.
Kim’s work was featured in ‘All Together Now,’ on view February 11-26, 2023.
“Painting is an ongoing conversation between the past and the present. I’m most interested in still-life painting and how its long arc emphasizes the monumental and the everyday. This painting is part of an ongoing series that explores how this historic motif translates in the contemporary world.”
