Michael Evans

Michael Evans (b. 1979, Sanford, ME) takes various influences from animation by Max Fleisher, Bosch and absurdist thought, and beyond. He had developed as a painter into a style he calls ‘Rubberhose surrealism,’ which has become how he process the human conditions of love, vice and loneliness and explains himself to the void.

Michael’s work was featured in ‘Critical Mass,’ on view August 12-27, 2023.

“These are me , dealing with the void. In a way there are self portraits, I guess”

Michael Evans
