Our Thomas (b. 1971, Sinking Spring, PA) is an Exeter, New Hampshire based artist working primarily in mixed-media collage (with occasional forays into haiku, drawing, iPhonography and other media). He is particularly intrigued by the possibility inherent in our human detritus — trash, found objects, discards, flotsam, ephemera. Questions around what has value and who or what bestows value abound in his process and work. He enjoys re-imagining the place of disparate elements into works that invite introspection and a reassessment of the viewer’s expectations or that spark flights of fancy, imagination, and curiosity about the potential of our inner lives and hearts.
Our Thomas’ work was featured in ‘Critical Mass,’ on view August 12-27, 2023.
“I love the contrasts in this piece, starting with the dark pull of the caution tape against the drawn rectangles with the circles, which were created by my daughter when she was a little girl.”
Our Thomas’ work was featured in ‘All Together Now,’ on view February 11-26, 2023.
“These pieces reflect my search for personal, inner landscapes that lie just beyond the horizon of words and thoughts.”
