Richard Yu-Tang Lee (b. 1985) is an Asian American artist from Chicago, IL. His artistic practice focuses on subjects of self discovery and the necessary cooperation of opposites. He currently lives in Portland, ME, where he paints and co-operates Little Brother Chinese Food – a collaborative artistic practice and frozen Chinese food business.
“To continue exploring the theme of cooperating of opposites, I’ve arrived at an image of two skulls pressed flat against each other in a “kiss” that is equal parts romantic and macabre. The combined skulls also create a third face that confronts the viewer head on.”
Richard’s work was featured in ‘All Together Now,’ on view February 11-26, 2023.
