Taisiia Richards (b. 1993, Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) has been on a journey to capture the ethereal beauty of nature using oil and watercolor since her childhood. Influenced by the Impressionist movement, she infuses her work with a half-abstract style that evokes emotions and invites viewers into her world of vivid colors and dreamlike atmospheres. Studying at Zaporizhzhia Electrotechnical Vocational College (2008-2012), Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University (2012-2015), she learned the technical basics of design. Since then, she has continually educated herself and trained her painting technique and understanding. Inspired by her European background, Taisiia wants to bring her cultural identity and experience to her work.
Taisiia’s work was featured in ‘Group Effort,’ on view August 10-September 1, 2024.

“Through vivid brushstrokes, I aim to capture the fleeting beauty of nature’s transitions, painting a tapestry of color in the sky that mirrors the delicate lupines dancing amidst majestic mountains at the brink of day and night.”
