Veronica also hired Alice to kill her abusive husband Geoff. The murder was so well covered up that the coroner listed the cause of death as “natural causes”. After being issued Mark’s life insurance payment, Veronica purchased a new car and a mink coat. She then used this new car as a hearse to carry Mark’s remains to the funeral home, and later to the Pleasantville dump where she disposed of his remains in a lagoon.
