Elizabeth Melnyczuk
Elizabeth Melnyczuk (b. 1993) was born on Long Island, New York. She received a BFA in Printmaking from SUNY New Paltz in New York in 2015 and a Professional Printer Certificate from Tamarind Institute in 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Liz lived in Manchester, NH between 2017–2020 and still frequents the Granite State. She exhibits work largely in the Hudson Valley and New England, but also across the United States. Recently, she was an Ora Schneider Regional Resident with the Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, NY. Liz uses the knowledge she has of printmaking processes to inform the marks and imagery that appear in her work. Liz lives once again in the Hudson Valley and finds herself inspired by her neighborhood, her house plants and her town pool.
Elizabeth’s work was featured in ‘Heat Wave,’ on view February 10-25, 2024.

“This work is inspired by houseplants, and the way printmaking marks work best to convey certain kinds of information. Halftones as water, litho crayon for quick gestural drawing with a lot of movement, linocut for high-contrast graphic imagery.”
