Discontent Hairdresser by Jen Drociak

Discontent Hairdresser

Pam was told growing up that the only careers women could have outside of the house were a schoolteacher, nurse, secretary, or hairdresser. Pam decided to attend “Beauty School” and studied hair dressing since she flunked cosmetology. But after 20 years of styling women’s hair, she is tired. She is tired of the chemicals, the dyes, and the curlers. But most of all, she’s tired of hearing incessant stories of other women’s marital issues and unsatisfactory lives. Also, her feet really hurt!
