Rebecca first came to Pleasantville as a college exchange student, but she stayed to become a Russian spy for the Soviet Union and help her homeland better their efforts in their race to the moon and efforts in nuclear armament during the Cold War. She looks unsuspicious, as she has integrated herself well into the social fabric of Pleasantville, has many friends, and has had many lovers.
